At Babs & Brent, we encourage you to wear your jewelry often. The pieces will age over time and develop a natural patina and unique character—a look we especially love.

Our jewelry is made from a combination of raw and mixed-metals, including brass, sterling silver, and others. We use a variety of coatings for our finishes. Gold plating may wear off over time and pre-treated brass and sterling silver may tarnish. 

In order to ensure the longevity of each piece, we recommend not wearing them while bathing or swimming or while applying perfume or hairspray. Exposure to excessive heat, moisture, and chemicals such as chlorine, detergent, and lotion may tarnish the plating. Oils in the skin and environmental variances may also impact each piece. 

To clean your Babs & Brent jewelry, use a gentle cleaner and a microfiber cloth to polish. We recommend keeping your jewelry in an airtight container or soft pouch when not being worn.
